Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
To fulfil our mission and cultivate a love for the game countywide, our community must be safe, welcoming, and inclusive. Lincolnshire Cricket firmly believes that EDI is not a standalone entity – it must instead be fully integrated into everything that we do, from the core policies and procedures of our organisation to the conduct of players, coaches, clubs, and volunteers. We share the ECB’s vision of making cricket a game for everyone – regardless of background, cultures, or abilities.
Our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategy 2025 – 2028
Lincolnshire Cricket recognises that there are still barriers to participation and we are committed to addressing these to ensure that cricket is truly accessible to all at every level. To outline our objectives that we are committed to work towards to establish cricket as the most inclusive sport within Lincolnshire, we have developed our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategy.
This has been developed following consultation with local and national stakeholders, and partners, to ensure that we are taking a collaborative approach in celebrating the cultural richness of our county, and the communities within this.
We are committed to being fully accountable to our EDI targets and will regularly review and share our progress made towards our overarching vision. We welcome feedback from all within our communities to help shape a safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive future for cricket within Lincolnshire.
We actively support the ECB’s national initiatives such as the State School Action Plan and Raising the Game These initiatives help us access valuable resources, strategic direction, and deliver inclusive cricket experiences that reflect the diversity of our county.
EDI Toolkit
This toolkit is designed to provide support to employees, clubs, committees, volunteers, and parents across our network to upskill in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and make inclusive intentions into meaningful action. The toolkit will offer resources, guidance, and best practice examples to help increase participation, remove barriers, and create safe and welcoming environments where everyone feels they belong.
