Lincolnshire Cricket Ltd Statement following the release of the ICEC Report
The First Class Counties and County Cricket Boards who make up the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) received a copy of the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) report at the same time as the general public, when the report was published today. As an organisation we are fully prioritising digesting the report and its recommendations for the first time.
It is clear at this early stage that the report contains significant learnings for cricket to take on board. Lincolnshire Cricket recognise that this report will be difficult reading and distressing for some of those involved in the game here in Lincolnshire and wanted to take this opportunity to make our position clear – discrimination in any form has no place in Lincolnshire Cricket.
Lincolnshire Cricket will take all allegations of discrimination extremely seriously and would like to encourage anyone who may have experienced, been subjected to or have witnessed any form of discrimination to report this via the following link: https://www.ecb.co.uk/about/edi/report-discrimination
You can report this anonymously if you wish by entering Anonymous@ecb.co.uk in the address field.
We look forward to taking the opportunity to fully engage with the ECB in the consultation process during the coming months to implement change across the game.
