LINCOLNSHIRE CRICKET’S FACILITIES STRATEGY
Facilities are a key enabler of the work we do, and in working towards our stated ambition of cricket becoming Lincolnshire’s most inclusive sport. Ensuring Lincolnshire has a network of facilities that are fit-for-purpose, well maintained and accessible at times people want them, is critical if the sport is to sustain and indeed grow participation levels over the next 10 years.
In order to achieve this aim, we have been working to develop a Facilities Strategy for the period 2023-2032. This strategy has been in development over the past 12 months and we feel we are now in a position to share this with our stakeholders to seek feedback as we enter into the final phase of its development.

As this is a 10-year strategy and the investments involved will serve cricket in Lincolnshire beyond this timeframe, it is important that consideration is given as to how and where the game will be played in the future. Whilst our network of traditional cricket clubs will remain a key focus for us, we must ensure we think creatively and positively about the opportunities to grow the game in other ways and in other places.
We have undertaken a significant amount of work to engage with our clubs, communities, and other stakeholders in developing this piece of work. Through conducting surveys, club engagement events, meetings and data analysis, we have gathered valuable insight to guide our decision making.
Furthermore, we have for several years seen evidence of the significant impact high-quality facilities have, or the lack thereof, on the satisfaction levels of participants and their likelihood to continue playing the game.
The intention is to review and update this document on an annual basis ensuring the strategy continues to remain relevant throughout its lifespan.
