Giles Academy at Trent Bridge
The first day of the Women’s Ashes series at Trent Bridge, saw Year 9 and 10 Girls from Giles Academy in Old Leake step out onto the ground to put their new found skills into practice. They had taken part in the Chance to Shine Leadership Programme delivered by Lincolnshire Cricket. The enthusiasm and commitment from these students saw them rewarded with the opportunity to put all their skills into practice by stepping onto the pitch at the lunchbreak to coach some All-Stars children in fun activities.
The students were exemplary and received many compliments for their efforts from everyone involved.
Two students from Giles Academy were interviewed about the project on Sky Sports and three further students were interviewed on camera by the ‘Chance to Shine’ to share and promote the project. If you missed their appearance then you view it here:
