‘Lincolnshire, like much of the country have seen a huge increase in the number of females taking part in our sport. The success of the national team and the recent professionalisation of the female game have both helped to raise the profile of and interest in cricket amongst the female population. We now have role models and ambassadors that inspire women and girls to want to get involved in the game. It is crucial that we build on this momentum and provide suitable entry points to our sport across the whole county that provide competitive opportunities for women and girls. This partnership with Magnavale will allow Lincolnshire Cricket to build on the work that has taken place over the past 2 years and develop relevant competitions and activity that enable females to take part in cricket and enjoy the benefits that sport, and physical activity deliver.’
