Rob Bradley (pictured above with the Lincolnshire Team at the 2022 Showcase Game v Durham) has stepped down as the chair of Lincolnshire County Cricket Ltd (commonly referred to as Lincolnshire Cricket Board) having reached the end of his term. Rob has held this role for over a decade and has been instrumental in leading the organisation through an unprecedented period of change.
Some of the key milestones achieved during Rob’s tenure include:
- Organisational merger with Lincolnshire County Cricket Club creating a single, unitary organisation responsible for all aspects of the player pathway.
- Playing the lead role in the creation and implementation of Lincolnshire’s 5 year county wide plan for the game, instrumental in shaping the future of the sport within Lincolnshire and central to Lincolnshire’s partnership agreement with the ECB, the CPA.
- Overseen operational restructure featuring the recruitment of a CEO and operational team capable of delivering on the ambition laid out in the county’s 5-year strategic plan.
- Led governance reform featuring the recruitment of a number of new Directors well placed to continue to shape the future of the game in the county.
Throughout his chairmanship, Rob regularly liaised with the ECB and took pride in championing activity taking place within the county. Rob was happy to check and challenge at a national level on behalf of Lincolnshire and lobbied passionately to ensure that the county secured the funding, recognition and support required to enable delivery at a local level to continue ensuring as many people as possible had the opportunity to access the game.

During Rob’s time at the helm his ability to develop relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders has been central to the organisation’s ability to bring people and stakeholders together behind a common purpose. As CEO of Lincolnshire Cricket I would like to personally thank Rob for the support he has given to me over the past 4 years, in particular during the pandemic which presented organisational challenges that no one could have foreseen”
Lincolnshire Cricket would like to formally thank Rob for his service to the game and the organisation. Rob will continue to contribute locally within sport through his roles at Lincoln City FC and Hartsholme Sports Association.
Commenting on his chairmanship of Lincolnshire Cricket, Rob said:
‘It was an honour and a pleasure to hold the chair’s role at Lincolnshire Cricket. Sport is more than just the contest itself. It is all about friendship, community, and meeting challenges. As such it has been hugely enjoyable to play a part in the governance of cricket in our fine county. Being a chair is really only similar to being the captain of a team. The Lincolnshire Cricket directors, staff, and volunteers are the people who make things happen, as are all the hundreds of players, officials, volunteers, mums and dads, and everyone else attached to clubs, leagues, and other cricket organisations in Lincolnshire. Thank you to them all for making my role so satisfying.’

Lincolnshire Cricket Ltd will be formally thanking Rob at the junior and women’s cricket festival taking place at Lindum CC on Sat 24thSeptember.
Tony McArdle has been appointed interim chair of the organisation and will provide leadership and support until a permanent chair is recruited.
